Caravan (2015)
Jocelyn’s second release, Caravan, celebrates folk traditions from around the world, featuring foot-stompin’ dance sets, lyrical melodies, and rhythmic grooves. It is inspired by stories and experiences from Jocelyn’s travels, and remarkable people and places along the way.
This album takes the listener on a journey from dances in France, Spain, and Scandinavia, and ceilidhs in Scotland and Cape Breton - to cobblestone streets in Old Québec, rural towns in Ireland, and sunny coastal drives. Songs are sung between friends, sharing uplifting messages of special places, and of joining together for strength and happiness.
Accompaniment is provided by band members on piano, guitar, whistle, and percussion, and guest musicians on bass, cello, and percussion.
Caravan was nominated for “World Artist of the Year” at the Western Canadian Music Awards, and at the Canadian Folk Music Awards.
